A study of gender and life stage along New York's eastern Lake Ontario Coast
This study examines the fishing involvement of female and male anglers during three major life stages (i.e., childhood, adolescence, and adulthood) in order to identify the factors that influence fishing participation. Conducted between 2000 and 2002, the study was comprised of a mail survey and interviews with both anglers and non-anglers. Funding for this study was provided by NY Sea Grant and the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
